Today I had Fun

Though my photo session got cancelled, I saw my neighbor's kids playing outside. I called them if I can take their pictures. I have permission already from their parents and everytime I gave them a copy of their picture, I have a model release form for them to sign. I give them 2 copies of the image, if they want more I let them pay. I think I'm being reasonable, but yes, I am not sh shy asking for the parents to sign the model release form.

I want to ask, how do some of our Peas get to train their eyes to focus on a F/3.2. I am so bored on my f/5.6, I want to open my aperture wider, I don't have kids, what should I do? Don't tell me to get one, that's one expensive props. Congratulations, Heather!!!! I'm so happy for you..beautiful people need to multiply, right?

HHCC for me...exposure information--F/5.6, ISO 1600(its so gloomy outside! I was struggling with light), SS 200.
Amanda's Action on this one. I did partial Teya's pop, duplicated the eyes and used curve layers.

Here is my Post for the Week

What I learned from this pictorial is that the baby rule the session. So I asked the big sister to keep smilingand lock her expression and we'll wait for the baby to smile.

I'm pretty excited editing this session since I learned how to color the eyes. I really want to learn Teya's Pop.

HHCC on this one. Let me know what you think. I love 1/3 on my portraits, its a reflex for me.

Sorry! Okay this is my Post

I know I'm kinda missing in the loop for the Daily Captures, its just that the catch if you borrow kids is that the moms are so excited to see the pictures, so right now, I'm busy editing pictures, of course, reading photography books, I have a newborn session coming up and making list on poses and to do's aside from that I have to be a wife, a cook and handle laundry and be in bed at
10pm! I'm like in Boarding School! but I'm enjoying every moment of it.
I try to open 2peas and visit everyone's blogsite but can't leave a message since I view it from the office. I don't want to get in trouble worse for them to block blogger, so I try to be discreet about it.

For this session, I tried using sponge and eraser and dodge tool, and I mean more than dodging the eyes! it helps with backlighthing and dodging the background. I wish I tried this during my maternity session, life would have been much easier, but oh well, live and learn.

I would like to thank, Rebecca on this on since i tried the ILP link she gave us for enhancing the pictures without using Actions. I still love actions but learning how to edit it yourself thats far more rewarding.

HHCC on this one. Exposure information is F/5.6, SS 125, ISO 1600. Of course, another backlight from me.

Yellow! Definitely Yellow!

I don't know if the color is right or what. I really need to practice on consistency on colors. A is my friend's DD, of course, you know I borrow kids for my pictorial.

HHCC on the color and composition. The Rocking chair is a coincedence. I didn't know how hard it is to take pictures of a 6 month old baby who is teething and of course they don't have balance yet.

Thank you for looking and appreciate HHCC and of course if you can drop note on some of the corrections that would be awesome!!!! like adjust on this and that....or page of the Scott Kelby book, I would love to look at it.

Building It

I'm trying to build a portfolio for Horse Photography. After I finish my 6 weeks Photography Class my friend at work asked me if I can take a picture of her horses and she'll submit it to a contest. I dutifully agreed and scared about it.

She sent it and it won Grand Prize! I don't know where I place the newspaper.

From then on she keeps on encouraging me to go to that road and I think I will. Horses are fun to take pictures of. Since they don't move as much a 6 months babies. So I took some photos and will post this in my gallery and send it out for portfolio purposes.
The second picture is Derby(Small one) and Jockey(Tall one) both were saved by my friend. Derby was an abuse horse, some brat asked her parents to buy her a horse and didn't took care of her, 12 to 13 year old kids would ride her and she endure it. My friend took her in because she have a big barn and adore horses. Jockey was about to be put down either made into a glue(like seriously) or some men will just decide to make him their meal. My friend bought him and took him in.

HHCC on this one. Nancy, Jordan and BarbKelly helped me out with the cropping extension on this one. Thanks, Girls! You have to take note in your pictorial workflow on the allowance you have to give for cropping.

Second Maternity Session--HHCC on this one

Its been a while since I posted here but here you go, I just finished proofing my 2nd maternity session. I read in the MPIX forum that when you show your client their photos it should be proofed well already because you can't tell them that you will fix onlythe pictures that they will buy or just imagine the other pictures when everything is proof and finalized. Some people just don't have that imagination. So yes, I proofed 48 pictures to show them. Professional photographers I know only show 20 to 30 so that the client won't be confused. I learned a lot from this session including using brush to enhance the color of the tattoo. I was proud of myself.

Exposure information---ISO 800, F5.6, SS 125. It was gloomy here in Illinois, I was struggling with light. HHCC on this one, please. Thank you for looking~
